Introducing CIMBA Group Rides for 2021

1+2.jpg

New this season, CIMBA is offering a FREE series of group rides and skill oriented workshops for the upcoming season. These rides are designed to be inclusive, fun, and social (while still being Covid cautious).

The current lineup features road/gravel riding while the snow melts, followed by a couple of introductory skills-based mountain biking workshops once the trails open up, and continuing with some longer trail rides later in the season.

The first of these rides will be down in Riggins, this Saturday, the 24th at 11AM. We’ll ride up the Main Salmon until the pavement ends, then return (for the ambitious, continue on the gravel towards Vinegar Creek).

The rides are being coordinated by Ken Enochs. Ken grew up in McCall long before anyone imagined riding a bike on mountain trails. After decades of living overseas, he is now back in McCall where he and his family delight in all the spectacular riding opportunities that central Idaho offers—road, gravel, and mountain. Reach out to Ken if you have any questions or suggestions.

All of our dates are now posted on our CIMBA calendar at cimbarides.org/calendar.

Early Season Gravel Schedule:

Please sign up for the rides using the Golden Volunteer links above, a platform CIMBA has been using to coordinate trail work. You will be asked to sign a wavier and provide emergency contact information. It helps us know who to expect, dot our i's, cross our t's, and ensure everyone is protected and prepared to have a great time out riding!

It is important to note that these are unsupported, unguided rides. All riders are expected to have their own food, drink, flat kit, etc. to be self-sufficient.

We hope to see you out there! Once again, if you have any question, don't hesitate to reach out to Ken via email or give him a call at (208) 630-4285.

Let's ride!
